5 Patriotic Places to Get Your R&R

“Triton Brewery
Indianapolis, Ind.

Decommissioned in 1991, Fort Benjamin Harrison was a working base from World War I through Desert Storm before acquiring a new persona as a 1,700-acre state park with a warfare museum, among other attractions. The one that soldiers would surely have prized most is Triton Brewery and pub, lodged in a 1924 barn where the cavalry’s mules once bedded down. The beers are brewed in the barn and served in the military-flag-festooned taproom and beer garden out front. Head there Saturdays at 3 p.m. or Wednesdays at 6 p.m. for free tours and tastings (by appointment). Arrive early and you can play a round on the park’s golf course, hike along its seven trails or check out all the other repurposed fort buildings, like the army hospital that’s now a hotel. 5764 Wheeler Rd., tritonbrewing.com”
