It’s #FeaturedFermentation time! This week we’re shining the spotlight on fall seasonal Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest!
Oktoberfest is brewed in the spring, signaling the end of the traditional brewing season and stored in cellars during the warm summer months. This medium body malt has a deep golden color with an initial taste of malty sweetness, but finish is moderately dry. The complex malt flavors stem from the use of traditional German Steffi barley.
In 2015, Sierra Nevada has collaborated with 600-year old German brewery Brauhaus Riegele of Augsburg to create a one of a kind, authentic Oktoberfest. Pair it with with Mexican cuisine or other spicy foods like chicken, sausage, and mild cheeses.
Relax and enjoy an Oktoberfest this weekend! You will not be disappointed.
