Oktoberfest kicked off with festivities revolving around German culture, food, and of course, beer! We picked four different Oktoberfest beers to try to celebrate the beginning of fall.
- Leinenkugel’s version of the Oktoberfest is a traditional Märzen-style beer with a toasted malt flavor and subtle, spicy hop notes. It is perfect for celebrating fall in true German fashion.
Sun King Oktoberfest
- Sun King’s Oktoberfest is crafted with choice German malts and Noble hops, Sun King Oktoberfest has a clean malty start with a slightly earthy hop character and a crisp, dry finish.
Sam Adams Octoberfest
- Sam Adam’s version of this classic style blends hearty malts for a deep, smooth flavor with notes of caramel creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you’re celebrating.
Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest
- Each year, Sierra Nevada partners with a different brewery to make their Oktoberfest beer. This year they partnered with Bamberg, Germany’s Mahrs Bräu on a new version of the classic style. This authentic version of the festival beer is deep golden in color with a rich malt complexity, but with a noticeable spicy hop character from the use of the nearly forgotten Record hop varietal.
