Hoosier company celebrates season of giving

INDIANAPOLIS – Employees at Monarch Beverage Company, Indiana’s largest distributor of beer and wine, aren’t squawking about the increased price of turkey. That’s due to the company practice of gifting all employees a turkey, case of beer, bottle of wine and $50 grocery store gift card each year before Thanksgiving.

For more than 60 years, employees of Monarch Beverage have enjoyed the many perks of working for a wholly Indiana owned and operated business. This year, the longstanding tradition continues.

“When I first started working at Monarch Beverage in 1976, I never thought I’d be picking up my holiday turkey with 650 other employees,” said Jim Noblitt, Pricing Manager at Monarch Beverage. “The continued dedication this company has to its employees makes it a special place to work.”

Employees are also invited to participate in another tradition, Breakfast with Santa, a popular company event attracting hundreds. During Breakfast with Santa attendees dine together, watch a magic show, open presents, meet Santa and enjoy the spirit of the holidays. Employees are encouraged to bring a toy along with them to donate to the local Toys for Tots drive. Marines are in attendance at the event to accept the donation.

“We are proud to be a Hoosier company supporting Hoosier families through traditions like these,” said Natalie Roberts, Senior Vice President at Monarch Beverage. “This is just a small way that we show our appreciation.”
